RETURN
Truth is bound to truth. That which came from Him must return
Henry,
He’s sick. Worse than before. All afeared and askewed. I cannot make sense of half his ravings. Truthfully, I do not wish to make sense of them. He is demanding to be funded for another voyage and becomes threatening when I explain he cannot travel in his current condition. I suspect he will seek to cancel the next leg of the exhibition by recalling the collection to the Kemp Estate, which I have explained he has no legal recourse to do so. Despite my warnings, he is insistent that if he cannot return to Mu then Mu will return to him. I am considering institutionalisation, but I wish to avoid it for all our sakes, especially that of his family. In truth, I know it is not my place to intervene, but I also do not think such ravings should be heard by ladies or children. And I am unsettled by his newfound interest in the boy. I should like to think he has abandoned his previous vitriol that the child is an unwelcome interloper in favour of Christ’s forgiveness, but I cannot shake my unease over such a drastic about-face.
Regardless, good luck with the next show. I shall keep you updated on the situation here as it unfolds.
Best regards,
Charles Laurance
