You can use the Database to search for the exact location of documents within the Library.
If you do not know the specific Doc# of the document you are searching for, you can try using one of our reference guides to locate it.
Bookcases are organised as follows:

Milkman – ARTEFACT-RECORD-3056
Shilling Stinger – ARTEFACT-RECORD-735
Clutchweed – ARTEFACT-RECORD-641

Shilling Stinger Nest (A) – ARTEFACT-RECORD-734

The Kemp Letters – ARTEFACT-RECORD-001
Each BSTCE document is headed with clear identification information. If you’re not a trained researcher, understanding what this all means can get a little confusing. Below is a quick explanation.
DOCUMENT NUMBER
The number of the specific document you are viewing
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
This is the unique identifier for the subject of the document. Identification Numbers start with a classification, followed by their unique number. Classifications are as follows:
C1 – Creature
C2 – Flora
C3 – Item
C4 – Subdomain
C5 – Phenomena
C6 – Document
DOMAIN
If applicable, denotes which domain/s the subject of the document appears in.
THREAT LEVEL
It is important for researchers to be able to quickly identify how dangerous the subject is. Threat Levels range from 0-6.
0/Harmless – Completely harmless. No threat.
1/Discomfort – Can cause some non-life-threatening discomfort, such as rashes, sores, mild emotional distress, etc.
2/Provokable – Can cause harm/death, but must be provoked in some way. This may be due to environmental factors such as hunger, fear or self-defence.
3/Aggressive – Actively causes harm/loss of life. This may be due to factors such as instinctive hunting behaviours, contact toxicity or pure bloodlust.
4/Mass Human Death – Capable of causing a mass loss of human life. Examples include water-borne parasites and ███-████████ subdomains.
5/World Collapse – Upon escape of the Skew would destroy/alter the world as we know it.
6/Multi-dimensional Collapse – Capability to destroy/alter the world and the Skew as we know it.
PROCUREMENT STATUS
Part of the BSTCE’s mission is to preserve the Skew. Often this is done by housing artefacts within a BSTCE facility.
Acquired – Currently housed in a BSTCE facility
Selected – Active procurement status. Ready to be acquired and stored at a BSTCE facility
Undesireable – Inactive procurement status. Is not to be acquired. This may be due to a lack of adequate storage space or because it has been deemed unsafe to remove the subject from the Skew.
Not Applicable – Procurement is not possible. Usually applicable to Subdomains and Phenomena.
